So in my last post I had mentioned how I wanted to learn more about makeup and actually start wearing it. I did some internet surfing , well more like YouTube searching and found a girl who knows all about makeup who seems like she is the exact complexion as I am, I watched some of her videos and found out what products she used. She uses many different products for her lipstick, blush, and eye shadow. I mainly wanted to know what was the best foundation and concealer. The girl uses Revlon Photo Ready Liquid foundation , she said she really loves it. But then I watched a review on the Foundation and was told that when you are wearing the foundation you aren't exactly "photo ready" because it looks horrible in photos, so I put that out the picture. I found another video and a girl said she used Mac Pro Longwear Foundation and Concealer, I watched many reviews on that foundation and concealer and got a lot of good ones. So now that I figured what brand of concealer and foundation that I am going to use I have to get the matching color for me, I will do that sometime this week when I go to Macy's.
For the other cosmetic products such as lipstick, eye liner, eye shadow, mascara, blush; I will figure out what is best for me by experience I guess. Even though I did get alot of suggestions on Lipstick and Blush for dark skinned girls, I will go off of those suggestions for picking what is right, and what will look right on me. I will definitely keep you guys updated. I want to have a new girlier (is that a word) look for 2011 :].

trying something new...
Sunday, December 19, 2010
I was watching a Youtube video the other day because I was trying to figure out what kind of Remy weave I wanted for my birthday. The girl who did the Youtube video was giving a review on the Remy weave that she had in her hair. Not only did I notice how nice the hair was but I noticed how nice her makeup was, and she was the same complexion as me sort of. Right then I figured I wanted to start wearing makeup, I never really thought that makeup could look nice on dark skinned girls because I figured there wasn't that many options for the skin tone, but boy was I wrong. I had left a comment on one of her pictures asking about what brand she used but I forgot what video it was and the girl has so many videos, :(. So, I did some of my own research looking for makeup brands with good reviews, so far I found that good brands for dark skinned girls are Iman, Bobbi Brown, Mac, and another brand that I cannot remember. I'm not sure which ones I will buy yet because I need to figure out my "skin tone" label for their brand, I don't want to buy and have it not be the correct color. So for the new year I want to get some new makeup products. I need to find a good foundation and concealer, I also will buy eye shadow, blush, and lipstick. But for now my MAIN goal is: find a good concealer brand and a good foundation brand. If you have any suggestions, please let me know :].

In the meantime , while I'm waiting for suggestions I am going to go look for that video that I commented on and see if she commented back :]. I'll keep you guys updated
UPDATE: I did actually find the video that I posted the comment on , and she replied, she said that she would upload a video about her makeup as soon as she got a new camera because the camera she is using now doesn't show good detail. So I guess I will have to wait a see what video she will post, I will keep you guys udpated!
